On ME7.1.1 from VW/Audi (engine VR 2.8 & 3.2) Boot pin is enough.
But in your case (brown/dark PCB) – you have to check the other side of the PCB for jumper. You have to remove it. You don’t have to solder it back.
If read ME 7.1.1 failed with Ktag Ksuite,
read with recognized plugin. Change plugin and it will work.
